3.5 stars I really enjoyed this book quite a bit. I absolutely love Jane Eyre, and I felt like this re-telling did justice to the source material.

A lot of people seem to really hate this book because it doesn't have the same dark themes as the original. I guess that just didn't bother me that much.

One complaint I have (and the reason I knocked a star off) was that we are supposed to believe that Jane has no idea what is going on in Nico's life after she leaves him. Now, I know that it is already established that Jane doesn't pay any attention to celebrities and popular culture, and her roommates don't have a television or read gossip magazines, but even so, it's hard to believe that they have no idea what is going on with a person who is incredibly famous. Especially after Jane comes clean with them about who she is. Maybe I'm just nosy, but if I found out my friend had dated a rockstar, I'd do a little research.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this update to one of my favorite classics.
