When We Blinked
by Stephanie Mack
“Life isn’t always so black and white. I need to learn to embrace the gray.”
When We Blinked is Stephanie Mack’s debut novel and she crushed it!
Seraphina (Sera) is recently back to work after going through a rough patch and splitting with her husband. She’s been a stay-at-home mom for four years, and is excited to be back to creating marketing material for Hamilton Hotels & Resorts. Sera is also ready to get back to dating, and with some encouragement from her sister and co-workers, she decided to try Blinde, a dating app focused on meaningful conversations. No pictures are allowed in the app, there’s no swiping, users don’t have to use their real names, and matches have to reach a certain number of words in their conversation before they decide if they want to meet or not.
As Sera starts using the app, she matches with a man named Jack, who is quickly stealing her heart… but she’s also reconnecting with her ex-husband, Connor, as they see each other to deal with some problems their daughter is having at school. Just add in the young, rich, and dreamy owner of Hamilton Hotels, Graham Hamilton, and Sera’s juggling what she thinks are three different love interests. Little does she know, Jack is actually Connor’s alias on the Blinde app, and she may just be falling for her ex-husband all over again.
In this book, you’ll get a second chance romance with fantastic side characters and a woman rediscovering where she wants to be in life as she learns that not everything is black and white.
