Queen Amid Ashes, taking place between books 2 and 3 is a great addition to the Sun Eater universe. A very engaging story, with some amazing philosophical passages here and there. The themes covered in this book were actually really deep and interesting. This reminded me why I love the Sun Eater books–Christopher Ruocchio is really a magician with words.
