I definitely didn’t expect the connection to Arthurian legends going into this book. I was really just looking for a book with asexual representation and this author’s other book (Wren Martin Ruins It All) was amazing, so I decided to pick this one up. That being said, I’m absolutely not complaining about the connection and I actually love what it added to the book (I’ve intentionally read several Arthurian retellings, I’ve just never unintentionally read one until now). Overall, the author knocked it out of the park, yet again, and I will be reading anything else she writes in the future.
