i did really enjoy this second book and what this book didn’t have at all was second book syndrom since this book was action packed from start to finish! so certainly not slow or lacking in fast paced plot!

i did like how the characters evolved in this book and how the overall plot moved forward.

what i didn’t like is how often the characters where stereotypes in the biggest way!

- we have the bad bullies that are exactly that: bad bullies that take everything too far and should never ever be giving any real power.

- we have a romance that is clearly doomed to fail mostly because of huge secrets being kept from both sides and both not wanting or trying to tell their secrets to the other person even if they might understand if they get an explanation.

-the mistrusting team member that clearly sees something is going on but instead of telling anyone going at it alone.

- the “good guys” getting way too cocky and start to want to become and work on becoming the one and only power to control everything! (that a spoiler? i don’t think so because right from book one it’s constantly mentioned that the renegades take too much power for themselves!)


there are some things that i didn’t enjoy as much.
for example when novas people seem to care not one bit that something happens with someone they loved and worked with for years!
why?
no clue, other than seeming completely uncaring?

overall i am excited to see how this wraps up since i want to know what nova will do next.
