Vision in White
by Nora Roberts
Book one in the bride quartet and its a great start to a brilliant series. I have previously read this before and recently got my hands the audio books and so I decided that I would listen to them all again, and I am so happy I did. Nora Roberts has a gift when it comes to concocting a great romance story. She knows just the right ingredients needed to hook a reader and keep them hooked.
Mac is so positive and outgoing in life, or at least she is as long as her mother or love isn’t involved. Her mother has a habit of using and abusing Mac’s love since she was a child and as the years have gone on nothing has changed one bit. That is, until Mac has finally had enough and is ready to finally stand up for herself and what she realises she finally wants.
Carter is, well in my eyes Mr. wonderful. He is smart, sexy and sweet. He is a high school professor adored by his students and he has a wonderful family life. Since he was a teenager he had always had his eyes on Mac, and now suddenly she is back in his life and he wants more then just a few glances. But Mac isn’t the easiest nut to crack and it seems he is going to have to use more then just logic to get his way.
This story is so cute and quirky. Mac and Carter are a perfect balance for each other and really show a true foundation.
I absolutely love Nora Roberts’ style of writing and her flair for writing sweet romances that never seem repetitive or dull.
As for Emily Durante, she is a brilliant narrator. She had just the right amount of enthusiasm, bringing the characters to life without leaving them dull of boring. Each character’s trains shone through her voices and she really made listening to this story all the more enjoyable.
A great audio book. 5 out of 5 for me! Can’t wait to heard the rest of the series.
