It's not that I didn't enjoy [b:The Cruel Prince|26032825|The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air, #1)|Holly Black|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1493047153l/26032825._SY75_.jpg|45959123], I was just left wanting more from the book and it definitely needed a sequel. "The Wicked King" really impressed me!
It expanded the world so much and many details came together. Having this sequel did so much good for the series. Before I read this book, I was only half-interested in continuing the series, but now I'm invested. I can't wait until January 2020 for the next book!
Just a few notes:
1. Jude is becoming an even better heroine if that's possible. She's a Slytherin that I will root for!
2. Cardan's back story is nothing like I expected. His behavior in this book was so astonishing, which made him an even better villain. I hope he continues to be surprising!
3. I am so over Jude's family. They are a mess!
4. That ending. Oh my gosh! I feel like I missed something because so much happened.
