In this book we follow Jack and Jill from the first book on their adventures in a fantastical world ruled by warewolves and vampirers.

12 year old twins, Jack and Jill, wanted nothing more than to escape the torments of their not so perfect lives so when a mysterious door appeared in front of them one day, they went through it hoping for a life changing adventure. This new world, the door brought them to, was far from perfect but here the sisters felt free for the first time in their lives. It become their heaven until something forced them to return to their old mundane and uninteresting lives.

In the first book every character felt flat, there was no character development whatsoever. This book, however, dug deeper into the lives of Jack and Jill, and I found myself liking them alot more than I did in the first one. we got a glimpse of how their lives were before they went through a door and it really helped in connecting with them on an emotional level. If the first book had these back stories, I would've enjoyed it more but unfortunately it wasn't very character driven.

I still don't understand why this had to be a series when all of this could easily be crammed into one single book. I would have definitely given it more stars, if it were a single book. Breaking down the story into 3 parts has made this book less intresting, at least for me.

It's not a bad book. I really enjoyed it. Just not as much as i was expecting to enjoy.

I grew up with the stories of Narnia and this book brought back so many fond memories. Each page was repleted with nostalgia of the days when I was completely obsessed with finding a door to a whole new world. I adored this book for taking me back to my childhood. It aslo reminded me to never stop dreaming and believing.

I would recommend this book to every Narnia fan out there.
