I think the characters acted much younger than their ages in the book, which I didn’t particularly like. I believe that the main character was 17, but she seemed like a 14 year old to me, as well as her friends of the same age. I also didn’t particularly like being reminded of the love interest’s “sapphire eyes” every time he was mentioned, but that’s just a personal irk. I think this book covers a lot of important topics, so I am glad that I read it, and the magic system was really interesting.
