Blind Pass
by Teagan Hunter
I loved the first book in this series, so I was very excited and eager for book 2! I’ve got a new hockey team that I’m in love with here! And this book did not disappoint at all! While it started with a storyline I’ve read once or twice recently from other favorite authors, you know, get drunk in Vegas and get married to someone you don’t like. And then end up keeping a fake marriage for reasons. But this author’s story was unique and had a twist at the end that I did NOT see coming! I also loved that the heroine, Ryan, was a huge romantic, and so even kind of compared what was going on with the whole thing to a rom-com movie or novel.
I also loved our grumpy hero, Rhodes. Of course in a way he reminded me a bit of my favorite boy from the Pucked series by Helena Hunting, only Rhodes’s skate scar was in a much more visible area than Randy’s is. As usual Teagan Hunter’s banter is perfection. I loved the back and forth between Ryan and Rhodes. Loved the whole calling each other wife and husband all the time.
The conflict that came about and led to their darkest night moment was what was a twist for me. I didn’t even think about something like that being the cause. I figured it could have something to do with his ex, or just her not liking something he did, but didn’t realize it would all go down the way it did. Oh, and I did adore Ryan’s grandma.
I’ll be excited for book 3, which I hear is coming in March? Yay! I can’t wait!
