“And how would that work? I mean you’re a giant and Geoffrey is pretty damn short. Would it be safe for Geoffrey to work without a net?”

I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, but it works pretty well as a standalone imo. I love the bodyguard trope, and the more suspense the more I love it. There’s not a crazy amount of it in this, but the suspenseful moments are great.

I’m gonna call him ‘the little one’ because I can never remember how to spell Jeffrey the G way. Sven is a gentle giant, and is afraid of hurting anyone smaller than him. Que the little one who wants in Sven’s pants badly and doesn’t really give up until he gets what he wants. It doesn’t matter that he needs a step stool to enjoy his prize.

The little one comes off as a spoiled rich boy who parties too much, and I guess he is rich and he does party a lot, but he is far from spoiled. He’s lonely and there’s way more beneath the surface there than we (and everyone else) initially thinks, which I enjoy.

Once they figure their shit out, Sven and his tiny counterpart are pretty cute together. Can definitely recommend if you like the sound of this. Not too complicated but a good bodyguard romance for sure.

“You don’t have to cook for me while I’m here,” Sven said. “I’m responsible for my own meals. I’m here to protect, not mooch. Or socialize.” Ouch. “I have to cook for me, so why wouldn’t I?” “Again, I’m not here for things like meals.” I will not throw the spoon at the giant. I will not throw the spoon at the giant.

Geoffrey knew the sigh that fell out of his mouth had all the drama of an exasperated drag queen and he didn’t care.

“Just stay there. You can put your hands back on my waist—” he broke off when a hand landed on his ass. “My waist, Geoffrey.” Geoffrey always had slippery hands, but the more Sven got to know him, the more he realized that Geoffrey got comfort from touch, too.

His quiet, gentle giant came loud. Fuck, I love that.
