Fantastic. Renee Watson stikes again! I am quickly become such a fan of hers!

I thought my days of reading and enjoying a YA Contemporary were over, but this one was five stars! It was so well written.

Jasmine and Chelsea are high-schoolers and best friends. It becomes their mission to educate others on women's rights, feminism, and the inconsistencies in policies and social trends that women face every day. THey aren't enjoy their school's existing extra-curricular activities, so they started their own - Write Like a Girl. But their writing soon puts them in hot water, but their flame can't be dowsed.

This is an excellent story about the power of women, the bonds of friendship, and the importance for being true to yourself and standing up for what you believe it. I would definitely recommend this to teens who have the desire to create social change.
