The Rattled Bones by S.M. Parker
5.0

Loved this book I got in my PageHabit box this month. It had realistic fiction, romance, mystery, and paranormal stuff in the book.
First off, the book cover is gorgeous.
Now more into the review:
I really enjoyed Rilla’s character. She was grieving her father’s death and trying to balance fishing to keep her and Gram fed and to have money. Her mom’s not in the picture due to a mental illness. Her boyfriend does not want Rilla to go to college and is always high or drunk.
One day when Rilla is out fishing, she sees a mysterious woman on an island with a baby and the lady all of the sudden disappears. Rilla goes to the island and meets Sam, who is on the island for his internship.
Sam and Rilla work together work together with fishing and digging on the island to solve the mystery of who the woman and the baby are.
I enjoyed reading about Rilla’s fishing and getting to know Sam more.
I could not put this book down.
The only complaint I have about the book is that it needs some more editing done to it, but other than that, I really enjoyed the book and recommend it.
