It just feels sad and pointless and kind of fetishy. The author has apologized for her portrayal of gay men and lack of research or knowledge of the gay community before writing such stories... and ready this I think that makes sense. It just feels like how a straight women would think men (from limited experience with straight men) would think gay men act and love. Idk. It felt not completely without merit... but I could have spent the time reading anything else.
