I'm so glad I picked this up soon after getting it! But also, why did I wait so long to grab it?
This book was so good. Well written. Had a lot of names for certain people that you need to get straight, but it all flowed well.

Bree is just a badass heroine! She is so smart and she quickly pieces together parts of information she is getting from all sides. Sel is swoony. Nick is nice. I loved her friend Alice and can't wait to see what is coming for her in the next book!

I mean, we get King Arthur and knights of the roundtable legends and power passed down their lines through generations! Rootcraft held first by enslaved African women that pass down through the woman's lines. We get a non-binary character and I just love them.

This book is powerful and packs a punch! I can't wait to get even more character development in book 2 and more answers. I know we've bandit begun to scratch the surface of all Bree is capable of with all her power!
