Great start to a new series.

I loved every moment of this age gap romance with a nice little mystery subplot.
Circumstances have Monroe (41) and Knox (23) becoming roommates as they renovate the house that Monroe inherited. Both of these wonderful characters have some big decisions to work through.
Monroe is a bit wounded but very tender hearted and just wants to renovate, sell and get out of the town he lived in as a teenager. Knox is a selfless ball of sunshine who can also be stubborn and wants a different path to what his family expect. These issues/decisions add a complex layer to their relationship but they manage to work their way together to a HEA.

I really enjoyed their story and all of the side characters that kept things interesting. There’s plenty of steam between Monroe and Knox but also respect and love. I look forward to the next characters story and the continuation of the mystery set in this delightful town.
