Dani slayed and carried the book. Jameson ok whatever I literally should have cared as an Aspiring Academic (tm) but all his actions reek of such alpha-male misogyny, just disguised in a tweed jacket.
My two biggest problems abt the book go hand in hand: I don’t think there was really anything they liked about their relationship other than the sex, and I don’t see how the HEA/HFN is meant to be that. Like, the drama I was reading the book for had just started…. And then boom book over? Boo how rude. Also a MAJOR plot thread - pretty much THE reason Dani actually went to the UK - just… did not get resolved? So what, Jameson gets his family drama at least semi-resolved but Dani and her goals and dreams are just forgotten abt???
Anyway back to the sex: the scenes themselves were good don’t get me wrong but it was ALWAYS sex with these two. He’d like like “I don’t want you to get tied up in this” and she’d be like “I want to be tied up 😏” like they were so unserious
