I LOVE Emily St John Mandel. I love her prose and her characters and the way absolutely nothing of interest can happen in a chapter or portion of her novels but it's still gripping because it's just so well written.

The Sea of Tranquility was a very near perfect book. I was thrilled to see how much it connected to The Glass Hotel, which was my favourite read of 2024 and I was happy to spend some brief moments with those characters again.

Gaspery was a great main character and I just loved the way this book made me think.
