I picked this book for the gorgeous cover and because it seemed like the kind of cozy Christmas story I'm in the mood for. I was enjoying it just fine (even if the 12 year old son talked like an adult) until the author decided to resolve everything on basically the last page with developments that had me saying aloud, "Wait, WHAT?"

After seeing other reviewers who like this author and were disappointed with this book, I might give her another shot.
