The Boundless takes place after The Beholder and moreover follows the quest of the crew instead of Selah finding suitors. There is a lot of sleuthing, secrets, and drama that goes on in this book.
I really enjoyed this sequel and thought it was nice that Selah was not falling in love with other men this time, but was more focused on helping her crew with their mission/quest. There was action in this book. I loved her growth from book one. She definitely grows to be able to speak up for herself and to put her foot down on things she feels passionate about. I did not like the almost new love interest in this book and felt like it took away from the book a bit. Overall this wrapped up really well.
