My first book of the year and I hated it. I hated the writing style and I hated the plot. I kept reading because so many people wrote about their love for the plot twist at the end, so I was holding out hope that this book was going to turn around, but it never did. Instead, it just got more confusing.

The reason why I disliked this book so much was that I didn't care about the main character. I was interested in the fact that he woke up in this world without any memories of why or how he got there, but the rules were just so confusing to me. I felt like he never really tried to face himself in another body. My review is coming 8 months later, so the details are a bit foggy, but I don't recall him *really* trying. He just took everything at face value.

Also, the ending really upset me. I just want to say, if someone murdered a family member of yours, you are under no obligation to forgive that person. You aren't a better person for forgiving them. You are a person, and this other took away someone you loved.

In addition, the fact this was all a prison just threw me off. What kind of prison is this? With no memories, you aren't really repenting for your past crimes. You are just confused and lost. Is she even sorry for what she did? Or has she been fooled into thinking that she is sorry because of her lack of memories of the event? Nothing seems sincere. It alls seems force because so much was taken away. She can't be sorry for something she has no memory of.

This book was a great title for a poorly written novel. How disappointing.
