Neon is nervous about what is about to happen to him and his girlfriend Aria, and begins recounting their relationship through flashing back in time (24 seconds, 24 minutes, 24 days, 24 weeks, and 24 months). Caring adults, truthful conversations, and honesty make this an outstanding read. Jason Reynolds is a masterful storyteller.
