Let It Go
by Jen Calonita
“You are not alone in the world! You are a smart, resourceful girl, Elsa, and I know you can find a way to reach your sister even when she is out of sight. And Anna, with her warm heart and kind soul, will find her way back to you.”
What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other?
I love the first and second Frozen movies so much, I love the stories, the songs and most of all the characters! I adore Kristoff and I will talk with anyone who has anything bad to say about him. Seriously he's the best!
So, when I was offered a copy of Let it go in exchange for an honest review, I was quick to say yes.
I was excited going into this story, the plot sounded so interesting and I was looking forward to seeing how the story would unfold. When I started reading, I was enjoying the story, but going on I felt the characters changed a little too much and the story was very much the same as the movie, but with only a few little changes.
I loved Jen Calonita’s writing style and the way she can build a story, she is also a master of dialogue and wrote some really funny and cute lines that made me laugh all through the book.
Rating- 3 Stars- I liked it
Even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of this book I would recommend giving it a try for yourself, everyone has different tastes and even though it wasn’t my cup of tea, it might be perfect for you.
I’d also recommend checking out some of the other Twisted Tales by Jen Calonita. I read Mirror, Mirror not too long ago and I loved it!
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Scholastic Australia for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Happy reading everyone!
Jess xoxo
