Doesn't shy away from the realities of the Afghanistan war, while at the same time exploring some of the idealism of the soldiers involved.  Whether intentional or not, yields great insight into military culture and the pros and cons associated with it.  Worth a read for anyone looking to get a glimpse the U.S. side of this conflict.
