This book is one of the first SK's book I read that I really and truly loved and enjoyed. I read Carrie before this and I wasn't really into it, but this book.. Oh god, it was amazing. I love the characters and I was super invested to them, I love the writing and I love how creepy it is, it gave me goosebumps. I mean not all books gets to me, but this one did, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I think people who wants to start reading SK's books should start with this one or It or The Shining.

What I love about SK is how he created his characters. Most of his books are pretty thick and that makes it a pretty long story. When you have a long story, you'll get to know plenty of stuff about the characters which I think will make you get invested to them like they're your friends. When bad things happen to the characters you'll feel dismay and sad and anger because like I said, it feels like they're my friends, the people I truly know. And what I love about this book is this is about a family, not like the whole town like Salem's Lot, so you can really focus to them and you won't really get confused when you read it.
