4.5 stars.
A fun YA mystery/thriller and a great debut novel. I had a good time with this one and really liked the audiobook.
The protagonist is fun and smart and I quite liked her. The majority of the story felt believable and the tension was pretty well managed throughout the story. I did guess the majority of the ending pretty early on in the book, but there were a lot of red herrings that had me mildly questioning my assumptions. I liked the writing style and found it engaging without being too heavy.
This is the first in a series, but it wrapped up pretty well, so I'm curious to see where the next installment takes me.
