I liked this first in this series okay and was interested in these two characters but didn't feel a rush to read it. It turns out this is such a cute, heartwarming story. I can see it being a comfort read for me for sure. 

Wes moved to Blackcreek to help his sick sister. He and Braden had a one night stand weeks before, but Braden can't seem to stay away from the one man who so easily snuck away in the night. When Wes loses his sister and gains custody of his four year old niece, Braden wants to help Wes. Wes is closed off, afraid of losing more people in his life, but Braden might've have found the one person that makes him want to put down roots. 

Braden is a very happy go lucky kind of guy, while Wes likes to hold his cards close to his heart. There's a push and pull throughout the whole book and you can feel both of them slowly giving in to each other the more time they spend with one another. Wes wants to put everyone else above himself, but Braden charms Wes by being so kind and thoughtful to not only Wes but Jessie as well. They all form the cutest family. It's the little moments and undeniable chemistry that make them fall for each other.

This book just made me feel good and happy. Braden's family was sweet and I enjoyed the Cooper and Noah cameos. We finally get introduced to Mason, and I'm really curious about how Gavin comes back to Blackcreek and how that all plays out in the next book.
