A Wedding (Mis)match
by Kaylee Baldwin
funny
hopeful
lighthearted
medium-paced
I loved reading this book and need to go back to read Summer Mismatch because I ABSOLUTELY LOVED The Secret Seven - a group of grandparents living in the same retirement home and setting up their (mostly) unsuspecting grandchildren.
At the center of their matchmaking scheme in the book are Asher, a speech therapist and Eliana- a social media influencer with her "Happily Single" platform.
They both have their reasons for being single, but it's fun watching them both melt those walls they put around them while falling for each other.
The beach town setting, the trying to put together a "perfect" wedding, the pet turtle of Eliana, sweet Cameron (Elly's brother with Down Syndrome... If you know me, I love people with DS having several in my family), and the many life lessons make this a perfect weekend read to unwind with.
