A wonderful addition to gothic horror. Moreno-Garcia's writing is sharp and witty at times, and others very visceral and gritty. The juxtaposition works perfectly for this type of horror. NoemÃ's character is delightful to follow: smart, charming, and strong. The reveal of what's happening exceeded my expectations for what I enjoy in horror, and it's a concept I'll continue to reflect on long after my first read!!
Moderate: Body horror, Sexual violence
