The book takes place in London in 2054, following a global pandemic and a revolution that didn't quite turn out quite as planned. Everything from clothes to what you listen to/watch are restricted by the 'bad taste laws' in an attempt to make everyone better (and let me tell you I would be guilty!)
H and his partner Bagby are in the police division responsible for enforcing these laws.
One day H is called to a murder of a past reality TV star as there's a change the murder maybe a vigilante murder and connected to the 'bad taste laws' the case is given to H, but its not all quite as it seems......
I really enjoyed this book and even after just reading the prologue I could tell this is a book I would enjoy and there was something about the tone I really enjoyed. The book is the perfect mixture of distopian drama and whodunit. It has you rooting for the rebellion/2nd revolution whilst also trying to guess who the murder was and why it took place. There where plenty of twists and turns just when you thought you had figured something out there was another twist! If you love distopian stories and whodunit's I would definitely recommend you give this book a try, and if not still give it a try you'll probably end up enjoying it !
