Not So Nice Guy by R.S. Grey
5.0

R.S. Grey has won me over time and again — one of my auto-buy authors — so I wasn’t surprised how much I adored Not So Nice Guy. However, I have not rated a book 5 stars since early last summer! OKAY, FINE…I’M STINGY WITH MY STAR RATINGS! But, it’s saying something that I FINALLY thought a book worthy of my coveted 5 star rEview!

A hilarious friends to lovers story between two school teachers that’s utterly sweet while bringing the smolder, Not So Nice Guy is everything!

I think a big part of why I loved this book is how relatable it was for me. The premise parallels my own life (yup, the husband and I were friends for 10 years before we caved to the feels). It also reminds me, as the blurb says, of my OTP — Jim and Pam from The Office.

I could not get enough of Ian! The title is completely fitting — he’s a sweet, intellectual character who has a dirty talking, smexy beast caged underneath! That’s right; SMEXY! And Sam…she’s funny, quirky, awkward, and totally unaware…in all the best ways. Some may think “ohhh, another girl who doesn’t know she’s beautiful,” but I find her realistic. I love these two!

Overall, as with all of Rachel’s books, I absolutely recommend Not So Nice Guy! Romance readers, especially fans of rom-coms and the friends to lovers trope, will fall for these characters and love this story. If you’re looking for some great banter, amazing characters, and sexiness you don’t see coming, READ THIS BOOK!
