WOW! Fantastic start to a new series.

I was so invested in this book that I was unable to put it down.
Micah and Alex are two broken men who have both survived trauma and at times I was heartbroken with what they’d suffered. Although they still managed to be a bit nerdy, a bit snarky and have a bit of a laugh. It wasn’t insta love for them but the heat turned up when the deeper connection and commitment was made.
These are two very complex, deep characters and they are given a mystery, with many twists and turns, to solve in this well written, very original story. We are even treated to some very interesting side characters.
I highly recommend this book if you’re interested in ghosts, fire demons, shadow monsters and things that go bump in the night.
The ending is a HFN and I can’t wait to find out more.
