I reread this for my book club and the nostalgia was in full force.

Was it well-written? No. :(  Did I have fun? Yes. :) 

It’s got clunky exposition and checks off every YA fantasy trope, but it’s also got an interesting world & a story that kept me turning its pages decades later.
