This was such a wonderful book.
It's characters come alive as the story moves along and you really get to know Pi. You get to see him in school and learning about life. You get to know is family and the zoo.
You get so much more about Pi's life then you do with the movie and it just pulls you right into his life, right from the start.
The story of his time on the lifeboat is so well told that you can see every detail and feel everything he's feeling.
His travels are described so well that it is almost like you are on the lifeboat with him, watching him as he does what he does.
The end is wonderful as well.
His interview with the men about how the boat sank is so well done and the last chapter he reads the man's report and it really hits you right in the heart when he talks about what Pi had to endure to survive.
A great story to read, has great potential to be wonderful no matter how many times you read it.
