The Manor of Dreams

mysterious
To describe this one as Mexican Gothic meets The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Huho is a perfect representation.
Each of the dual timelines has a very similar vibe to these books. The past time line Vivian is our Evelyn Huho with Main Character energy taking no shit until she realizes her picture perfect husband isn't who she thought he was. The present timeline features Vivian's daughters and granddaughter fighting for her inheritance because Vivian has left her house to a different family.
This one is a wild fever dream. What's real, what's not? What is happening with the garden? And why did Vivian leave her house to the housekeepers daughter?
Sprinkle in a bit of a love story and this book has a little something for everyone.
