OH MY GOD IM GOING TO VOMIT WITH HOW GOOD YET CONFLICTING THIS WAS!!!
ok so can i just say..... damn the twists do not stop coming in this book!
some of them were hard for me to understand, like the final twist (you'll know), but god was this book good.
i loved the romance so much. did it feel unbelievable? yeah. did i also fall in love with the russian chapters? yeah. my god that entire part of the book can have my soul.
i also loved the writing, and the switching of locations. call me crazy, but i also liked how the science of the firebird wasn't truly explained. i feel like for me it would've killed the science-fiction nature, as any way to explain the firebird would be clearly fake.
the one thing that stops this being a 5/5 is that this book can be confusing at times. at a couple of points i had to pop the book down & google what was going on, or reread chapters. but tbh im not mad at it.
anyways i need the second book ASAP
