I think this is the first book I've ever read with a Transgender MC. I LOVED THIS BOOK! The way I got to know Yadriel, become someone who truly understood him from the inside, it was magical! Aiden Thomas wrote such an authentic character! The relationship between Yadriel and his family was very heart warming and heart breaking at the same time. I felt like I understood everyone's points of views... whether or not I agreed with their p.o.v. I also loved how the relationship between Yadriel and Julian progressed. It didn't feel forced, or rushed, or too extended... it was just right! This book made me so angry, it made me crack up laughing, and I cried both happy and sad tears! My favorite scene was when Julian is hunched over Yadriel, protecting him fiercely, and when asked if he was Yadriel's friend, Julian snapped, "Mi Querido!" AH! MY HEART EXPLODED! Thank you Aiden for writing this beautiful piece of art!
