Solanin by Inio Asano is a slice of life manga that focuses on a group of friends spanning from when they were in their late teens, when they met in college, to their late 20's. I remember first hearing about this manga when it was reprinted in America by the manga company Viz Media, in 2006 (I was 16 years old). I've waited 17 years to read this manga and I'm happy that I finally did. 

This manga had me sobbing, literally silently sobbing at 7am at my computer desk. 

As far as things I didn't like, there was a joke about molesters so I'm honestly going to knock off 1 star because of that, and because this manga is legit 400+ pages. When I opened this and realized how long it was, I was so overwhelmed! Like, "will I be able to finish this 400+ page manga?" The answer is "yes", but I was doubting myself for a little bit there. 

Some parts were a bit slow but overall it was good. I cried so hard, and not many pieces of fiction can make me do that.
