challenging emotional reflective sad medium-paced

The first third of the book was absolutely gripping. I couldn’t put it down and found myself deeply invested in the subject matter. However, as the book progressed, I struggled to stay engaged. The narrative became increasingly weighed down by dense detail, and at times it felt like it could have benefited from a good edit. That said, this is a powerful and essential book. It offers a vital look into the history of the AIDS crisis, the failures of big pharma, and the devastating impact of prejudice. Its message remains deeply relevant, reminding us why we must never allow such injustice and loss to happen again.
