3 1/2 stars rounded up as it’s not Diana Gabaldon’s fault I don’t really like romance novels.

This novel makes me wish I could go back in time not 200 years but around 20 or so. This was when I was a rather big fan of the Highlander series and a rather big fan of Scotland in general. I would have eaten this book up if I had read it then.

Note this book is historically accurate which includes 18th Century attitudes to sex, rape and marriage which may be upsetting to some.
