The Girl in the Painting
by Max Monroe
Ansel Bray is a famous painter, but tragedy struck him and he is not able to paint, his entire life changed completely. One day his life changes again, this time for the better. Flash forward years later we are introduced to Indy. She attends the gallery showing of Ansel’s debut after being out of the spotlight for the past 5 years.
It is at this showing that people attending recognize Indy as the girl in the painting, but how??!! She’s never met Ansel, she really didn’t know who he was until the day before the showing. How can she be his muse? Is it just a coincidence?
I LOVED Ansel, but I mean, who wouldn’t love a broody artist? Not only that but he is sweet, caring and there his depth to him. I also loved Indy. She is broken, she isn’t happy with where she is at in her life. Meeting Ansel is strikes something in her and same for Ansel. He can’t believe that his muse is real and how perfect she is for him.
I couldn’t put this book down. I was hooked from the very beginning. I laughed, I cried (and I mean I ugly cried), I swooned and I fell in love. This book was sweet and steamy. Every single character in this was loveable and I truly hope that we get more of them in the future!
