The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
3.0
emotional lighthearted medium-paced

This was a decent read and I enjoyed listening to most of it. I like how it has neurodiverse representation with an inclusive cast of characters. The romance was strong and steamy but not over-the-top.

I enjoy Stella's character and the way she embraces her love for economics and building her career. She also holds the type of job that is probably almost never given to female characters in romance novels and it is nice to see.

What held me back from really enjoy this book was in part the pure lack of communication between Stella and Michael and in part the problem after problem plot driver.

I feel like so many of the conflicts could have been avoided if the communication was there. And I know that communication is not always there in real life, but I feel like it was over-the-top in this book. The other aspect that bothered me was the one problem after another after another that kept building up and creating more issues.

Overall, however, I did enjoy listening to this book!
