The Gilded Ones follows Deka, who does not pass the blood ceremony and her blood runs gold. She then can choose to die or to join the king’s new army that fights monsters the kingdom has been at war with for ages.
I’m very late writing this review, but here I am! I really enjoyed this book, the writing, the world and the characters were great. I’m very intrigued to what that will happen in the next book! This is the first in the series, and it definitely set up a story that will just be even more exciting as we go. I had some things that were a bit meh for me, but I won’t go too much into it here. Overall I really enjoyed this and would recommened it to anyone who likes YA fantasy. Check out my video review for more thoughts! 4/5 stars.
