Better than the first

These books are so short! I really wish they were longer. Still, this one I thought was better than the first. I loved the friendship developing between Adara and Thalia, and seeing the other friendships she develops and how much she values them since she was never close to anyone growing up. And the relationship with Evran is just beautiful. The worldbuilding, again, is intriguing and I'm looking forward to learning more in the third book.
