Interesting concepts, so much potential, but just disappointing execution. Little to no character development or any relationship development that didn’t feel forced. There’s enough in the potential to let me see how others could enjoy the book, hence the three stars, and the set-up for the sequel was almost able to incline me towards reading the following books upon their release... but overall, for me, the follow-through was too weak and missed the mark.
