Straight up, this really did feel super similar to the After series. Bad guy, good girl, bad guy makes a shady deal to seduce the good girl, they end up falling for each other, you know the one. I actually really enjoyed this story though. It was fun, it was sexy, it was lighthearted & I kind of loved the voice of Cooper, who’s tone dripped with animosity & classist prejudice, but I found him weirdly likable. Just gonna say it though… the sex scene….
