Even as a proud scaredy-cat wimp who never watches horror movies unless forced, I found the movie version to be much better than the book, both scare-wise and entertainment-wise. Plus I'm sick and tired of King writing women as sex machines with little to no depth compared to the men. I mean, a child sex scene?? The story would've been COMPLETELY unaffected if he had just left it out. Dumping the book.
