I have long been a disciple of Dietrich Bonhoeffer . His Life Together, Cost of discipleship and Ethics have all been amazingly rich for me. I knew something of the biographical sketch of the man, but not as much as I would like.

This book rounds out that knowledge very well. The author paints a detailed, complete, thorough, and engaging – though understandably hefty volume.

Because of the dense nature of the story of this man, the story is a difficult read. But a very important one.
