This is my second R.M. Drake poetry book I’ve read and it was okay. There are a few poems that stand out with it’s beautiful and lyrical message. Then, there are others that sound too ... preach-y. I don’t particularly like the poems with a religious connotation.

The problem with this collection, in my opinion, is the lack of uniformity. The subject matter of poems are ALL over the place and I wish that were similar in themes.

He writes SO MUCH that this isn’t too much to ask, and it would give the collection more depth.
