I just could not get into this book. I felt maybe it was something with the flow, the tension, it was weird. It felt choppy. “X” would happen then he would be wanting her out of nowhere. I felt like the build up was weird. I also felt like there were discrepancies in the heroines character. Supposedly she was so shy but she didn’t act shy. Repeatedly. She would say whatever she wanted. Then she would be musing about another character that said whatever she wanted and wishing she could be like her. It just didn’t make sense to me. I’d try her again (Jarecki) but I guess I just had a big disconnect with this book.
